I Finally Finished This

"Cherries and Plate" 5"x7", Oil on Board
I finally finished this the other day but I didn't get it photographed until today. I took too long on this painting but I think a lot of it is just the time of year and the fact that a week ago I didn't have any heat in my studio so that certainly put me behind. I'm hoping I can get more work done after the new year. We shall see because it really depends on how much pain and swelling I have in my hands. As for the cherry painting I just finished, I'm happy with how the cherries turned out but that's about it. Hopefully, my work will continue to improve the longer I stick with it. If I don't post again before Christmas, then Merry Christmas to all of you.

Good job Jean! As I am a lover of dark backgrounds, it makes the main subject matter "POP"!

I am sorry to hear that your are stricken with arthritis. Hoping that the acute phase is short lived so you can enjoy life to it's fullest very soon. Merry Christmas!

Jean,
I wish a break in the snow, and returned good health to you. I know it must be frustrating to want to paint and be unable because of pain and other obstacles. The cherries were worth the wait...they are lovely. All the best in 2008.
