Vintage Teapot

"Vintage Teapot", 8"x8", Oil on Board
I just finished painting this teapot this morning. This is a subject that I've painted before with fabric behind and under the teapot but I wanted to revisit this subject with just a simple background.

There's something in the limited palette and a kind of bleached light in these recent paintings that is very distinctive and intriguing, Jean.

Hi Don,
Thanks, I have been working with a limited palette to see how far I can take a piece. I think it does help with the atmosphere of the piece.

Yes, I agree with some of the others. There is a wonderful simplicity that is so graphic.... almost abstract.
