I'm Happy With This One!

"Vintage Syrup Pitcher", 5"x7", Oil on Board
Yes, I finally finished this! Obviously this painting took way too long for its size; however, I took my time on it and I've ended up with a piece that I'm happy with. I picked this piece because of the challenge of painting glass again and because I loved the lighting. I'm also adding this piece to my series of "vintage" paintings. My palette for this painting consisted of: Cadmium Red, Burnt Umber, Burnt Sienna, Raw Umber, Ultramarine Blue, Cadmium Yellow Light and Titanium White (Gamblin). Please let me know what you think!

Vintage Water Pitcher

"Vintage Water Pitcher", 8" x 10", Oil on Canvas

I found this vintage water pitcher at an antique store here in Maine and fell in love with its simplicity. I hope to paint more still lifes with reflective surfaces. Let me know what you think!
