This is a section of the painting that I'm currently working on. I hate going for weeks without posting because people end up thinking that I've disappeared. At the same time, it's hard to show everyone an unfinished painting. I've been painting my cobalt bottle again and added another reflective element that I have purposely cropped out (I think it adds an element of surprise to not show the entire painting and keeps the viewer guessing what the final piece will look like). The shadows in this piece will play an important roll in this piece if I can pull it off.

Work in Progress

I know what you mean by your delai with postings but don't worry it gives more suspense! Also, I enjoy your intrigue with the new one coming... Some painters post once a day, some others once a week, a month... I think you create high quality with passion.

I would like to get more work posted but I'm slow because of arthritis pain. I'll be 42 in a week and yet some days I feel like I'm 70. How long have you been painting with oils for because you really produce high quality work?
I'm sorry for your arthritis pain. I know that biological apple-cedar- vinegar can help much. If you don't already know about it, you may easily make some search about its curative qualities on the web.
Oil painting is still a recent practice as I started with this medium 6 years ago- I used to work with acrylic before but I wanted to add a more sensual touch on my work. I'm 45 now.
You know Jean, you may want more and more from your art cause you see very far, but it gives good result when you have fun doing it.
Be confident, maybe oil requires time because of its chemical science but you got a unique and strong natural talent and your 1-1/2 years of painting only means something to you cause it doesn't show at all.

Thanks for the tip on the vinegar, I'll have to research it. I actually enjoy painting a lot but I tend to get frustrated easily. Most of my problem is that I'm really a prefectionist and that makes me so critical of my work. Another part of me feels like I should be further ahead by now.

I love the blue bottle and am really looking forward to seeing it in another painting. Already it looks good - I just know this one will be a "keeper". Don't be discouraged that you are unable to paint more quickly. When one slows down, it often produces a better piece because of the thought and intentionality of each painting... as is the case with your art. Have a wonderful weekend!
